Brilliant Bookshops: Hinton’s of Conwy

Conwy is a lovely town in Wales, famous for its stunning castle, Plas Mawr (the finest surviving Elizabethan town house anywhere in Britain) and the smallest house in Great Britain. It is a lovely place to visit, amongst its shops boasting The Lost Sheep Company, a fantastic place offering yarns, many Welsh, and tools for knitting, spinning and weaving.

Found in the High Street, Hinton’s Bookshop is a lovely space, bright and welcoming, which offers a wonderful range of books, including a selection in Welsh and those which encourage people to explore the local walks and beauty spots.

Tucked at the back of the shop is a dedicated children’s room, housing an excellent range of classic and current reading delights. Books in Welsh sit alongside those in English, attractively arranged on shelves and display units.

The owner offered a friendly welcome and was helpful and knowledgeable, rightfully proud of this lovely shop which is at the heart of the town.
