Brilliant Bookshops: The Speaking Tree

Glastonbury is a very unique town in Somerset, a mix of history, myth and spiritualism. It is full of independent shops, such as the wonderful Midgard Craft in The Gauntlet, which sells all sorts of beautiful woodwork and pyrography. Ted the Viking (shop owner) played one of his handcrafted instruments, showing himself to be a talented musician as well as craftsman.

Another independent shop worth visiting is The Speaking Tree. Priding itself on being an ethical company, offering books on a wide range of subjects at discounted prices. It specialises in books about ‘mind, body and spirit’. It always stocks an excellent range of titles with some lovely myths and legends collections.
