Brilliant Bookshops: Hurley’s Books and Records

Once the centre of Cornwall’s pilchard fishery, Mevagissey is a lovely harbourside village and still boasts a working harbour. Its narrow streets now house many gift shops, craft workshops, galleries, cafés and pubs, and, of course, plenty of fish and chip shops! 

Hurley’s Books and Records has been in Mevagissey since 2006. Found just round the corner form the harbour, it is a welcoming shop, offering of a range of new and second hand books, stationery, puzzles and vinyl. They had a very pleasing range of books by local authors and about the local area and a lovely children’s section with books for all ages.

The shop’s well worth a visit, as is Mevagissey!
