Brilliant Bookshops: Brendon Books, Taunton

Bath Place is a delightful historic street in Taunton, Somerset’s county town. Entered via archways or through little alley ways, it is a treasure, tucked away and waiting to be discovered! It is full of an array of wonderful shops and businesses, all the more easily enjoyed as Bath Place is a pedestrian path, perfect for lingering in and enjoying!

Brendon Books is one of the wonderful independent shops to be found here. Offering both new and second hand titles, it is a real treasure trove of reading delights, including a great selection of books of local interest. At the back of the shop is a lovely children’s section, with plenty of space for browsing and lots to interest everyone from toddlers to teens.

The staff were welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable, making the visit a pleasure. The owners of Brendon Books also organise the Taunton Literary Festival which has an impressive array of authors this October/November- you can find out more here.
