Brilliant Bookshops: Book-ish, Abergavenny

Abergavenny is a lovely town in Monmouthshire, surrounded by the Bannau Brycheiniog. Its castle is one of the best examples of a motte and bailey castle in Britain and houses an excellent museum, featuring plenty of local history. It is a busy, bustling town with a real sense of community.

Frogmore Street is where the owners of Book-ish in Crickhowell decided to open their second shop. Smaller than the original, it still manages to offer a very pleasing range of titles in a very attractive space.

The shop has a warm, welcoming feeling and its wooden interior gives it a timeless quality, combining the modern with the comfort of the aged! (I know what I mean!) A children’s room, brimming with excellent choices, is a perfect place for browsing and discovering that next inspiring read!

I loved the selection of poetry books on offer - always a good sign- and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the books in this Brilliant Bookshop.
